Whether or not you swear by makeup to be in your daily routine, or you don’t give it too much thought, these are what I believe to be the essentials that every woman should have in her bag, in no particular order:
1. Concealer– A great concealer can be your greatest go-to. It covers dark spots, dark undereye circles, and blemishes
2. Foundation/ BB cream- Depending on your level of coverage you want, a BB cream is great for a lightweight look and it works as a primer too. A nice foundation is handy when you don’t have a concealer and you just need a bit of cover-up, or if you want all-over coverage
3. Lip Stick/ Lip Gloss- A good lipstick or lip gloss whether drugstore or specialty brand, can really create your look. It adds a pop of color to your lips, and even if you don’t wear anything but lipstick or lip gloss, you will still look wonderful
4. Blush- another cosmetic that can add some color to your face
5. Face Powder- A face powder always helps to set makeup
6. Bronzer- Always a great product if you want a sculpted look or a summer glow
7. Eyeliner- An eyeliner can really make your eyes pop, and create an illusion that your eyes are larger. However, keep in mind that when a black eyeliner is applied to the waterline your eyes will appear smaller, not larger. For large eyes, apply a white or cream eye liner to the waterline.
8. Eye Shadow- When you want to transform your normal look, eyeshadow can definitely help you out. Eye shadows come in ranges of colors so the possibilities are endless, from neutrals to bright blues, it is all up to you
9. Mascara- Can easily make your eyes look bright and awake even though you may be exhausted and ready to go to bed
10. Blotting wipes- We are all busy people who have to get stuff done, and piling on the face powder to get rid of oil or sweat can look cakey, so when in doubt, blot! These are what I think are the makeup essentials, but remember at the end of the night always remove your makeup!
