Hey everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your day and working hard! I would like to start this Monday off with the February trends. Now I got a lot of this information from magazines, source reports, and other places. I love the feel of February with the reds and the pinks, mostly because Valentine’s Day is this month. Besides, what other color then red can make you feel powerful and confident?
Clothing and accessories for this month can be described as bright, with loud and bold prints. A popular look that was seen was neon hues, especially with shoes, and accessories. Watches were seen in bright green, shoes in pinks and yellows, as well as brightly colored bags. If eccentric colors aren’t your thing, basic wardrobe staples like khakis, whites and blacks were also a runway fave. Personally, I like a mix of both styles. Pairing a neutral outfit such as black plants and a white blouse with bright pink pumps is a great balance for color and adds a great accent to any look.
What we see in February is the transition from thick, heavy coats to mid-weight clothing such as leather jackets. Even with our everyday looks like tops and pants we see thick cable-knit sweaters drifting away and going back into stock to make way for the floral blouses and spring essentials. However, I will always keep my sweaters out and ready to be worn. One of my favorite things is coming home after a long day and throwing on a warm sweater while bingeing out on vanilla ice cream and Netflix TV shows.
Regardless of what is in or what is out, stay true to who you are and wear what makes you comfortable. I believe clothing is all about expressing yourself and being happy in the skin you are in, or in this case the clothes you are in.
